	What Do We Need?
In order to candle eggs, we need to have a light source that we can shine through the egg.

This one can last a very long time. There are instructions for this one in the link below.
	Using a flashlight. You can also make one from an overhead projector and an industrial roll of paper towel.
	Using cardboard and a regular lamp. What you need: a lamp, and a piece of cardboard with a hole cut in it. How it's done: put the lamp on one side of the cardboard and the egg on the other.
	How it's done “in the field”. When conservationists and biologists are outside checking on wild populations of birds, they cannot bring electric candling equipment with them. You can even candle using just your hands. Face a source of light (a window will do). Hold the egg up like you want to look through it. You won't see much detail, but it might be enough.
