Things To Do With The Word List

Here are a few ideas for activities that use the word list:		Word Doc Examples

Sorting:	Given a (sub)list of words, sort them by
	a) the number of syllables they contain
	b) alphabetically

Adding Endings:	Given a (sub)list of verbs add the endings 'ed' and 'ing'.
Plurals:	Given a (sub)list of nouns, what is the plural form of each?
Rhyming:	Find rhyming words for the given (sub)list.
Dictionary	Make a dictionary/pictionary for a sub-list of words.
Syllables:	Re-write each of the given words in syllables.
Create two groups of word parts split in syllables, have learners match them.
Classify the given list of words by the number of syllables they contain.
Word sounds:	Find / brainstorm words that start/end with
Using a short duck story, replace some sounds in words with blanks and have learners choose the correct sounds from a list.
Complete the Word:	Words are given with some letters missing.
Classification:	Classify each word given as: 'noun', 'verb', 'adjective', etc.
