Double or Quits Solitaire Sample Game

Double or Quits Solitaire Sample Game
source: Katrin Becker, 2000
1. We are starting with a 5 on the foundation, so we are looking for a 10
2. First 'click' to uncover the top card of the hand
3. Next 'click' moves the 6 to the waste pile AND uncovers the Jack.
4. We keep going till we find a 10 (suit doesn't matter)
5. The 10 is moved to the foundation. Now we are looking for a 7.
6. We find, and place the 7. then we move the A (hearts) from the lower right to the foundation. The space vacated by the ace is filled by a 3 from the wastepile.
7. Now we can move the 2 (clubs) from the lower left to the foundation, which is replaced by the King from the waste. Since the King is not used in this game it makes that waste pile a dead one. We don't want to do that again. Now we are looking for a 4.
8. Got the 4, .....
9 .... move it onto the foundation. The next card in the hand is a 9, so we move it onto the waste pile, then Move the 8 (upper right) onto foundation. It gets replaced with the 9, and we can move the 3 from the waste pile to the foundation. Now we're looking for a 6.
10. We have a 6, move it to F, then the Queen (from W), Jack (uppermiddle), 9 (middle right). This leaves us with the King on the waste pile and a 6 in the hand. We want to move the 5 but DON'T want it replaced by the King, so we move the 6 onto the wastepile before ....
11....moving the 5 onto the foundation. Now we're looking for a 10. We find the 10 in the hand, move it to F, look for 7. We find a 7, move it to F, and look for A....
12. Now we run out of cards in the hand, so the next 'play' moves the waste pile to the hand (without shuffling) and we can begin round 2 (of 3).
13. We find A in hand and move it to F; then 2 (LL) to F; 4 (U.M.) to F; 8 (U.M.) to F (it replaced the 4); 3 (L.R.) to F (replaced by 6), now....
14. move 6 (LR) to F; replaced by Q fr. hand since the waste is empty.
15. Now move Q (LR) replaced w/ A from H; move Jack (U.M.); replaced w/ 10 fr. H; move 9 (U.R.), repl. w/ 9 fr. H
16. Now looking for 5; found; move to F; move 10 (U.M.), repl. w/ 7; move 7 (U.M.) , repl. w/ 8; move A (L.R.), repl. w/ 3; need 2....
17. found 2; move 4 (M.R.) (repl. w/ Q); move 8 (L.L.) (repl. w/ A); move 3 (L.R.) (repl. w/ 10); move 6 (M.L.) (repl. w/ 3);move Q (hand) need a Jack;
As we continue, we run out of cards in the hand again and go on to round 3. This particular game continues to a win. Eventually, we have only Kings and one other card left in the hand and wastepile. At that point we can move the remaining cards to the foundation, and when there are ONLY kings left, we are done.
This Solitaire game is one of the easy ones with the chances of winning about 50%.
